The Floyd County Medical Center addition and renovation in Charles City is a strong example of our Authentic core value put into practice every single day. From the beginning, this project was never about appearances or checking boxes — it was about showing up, communicating honestly, and doing the work the right way alongside partners who shared the same mindset. Projects of this scale only succeed when trust is earned on the jobsite, and that starts with accountability, transparency, and follow-through from every team involved.

Led by our Heartland Finishes Eastern Iowa team, with support from Central Iowa, the project demanded constant coordination, adaptability, and a willingness to solve problems quickly as conditions evolved. Our partnership with Graham Construction created a collaborative environment where communication stayed direct, expectations stayed clear, and decisions were made with the project’s long-term success in mind.

The three-story, 60,000-square-foot addition expands patient care capabilities while improving operational efficiency throughout the medical campus. Working inside an active healthcare environment required precision, cleanliness, and respect for the people continuing to rely on the facility every day during construction.

At 76% completion, the project remained on schedule because teams stayed aligned, trusted one another, and stayed committed to delivering quality work without compromise.
