Chris Spilman

I was born, raised, and currently live in Cedar Rapids, IA. I have been with the local carpenter’s union since 1999. I am proud of my decades of experience hanging sheet-rock and my skillset in regards to HRTLND’s finishing and painting divisions.

Something people might not know about me is that I was a proud member of The Kiss Army back in the 1980’s and I used to be a small tool repair person for Eastern Iowa Supply.

When asked what I like most about HRTLND Companies, the small company/family dynamic comes to mind. HRTLNDs ability to make me feel respected and appreciated even though they are a bigger company has always impressed me.

Our field family is made up of building professionals with expertise in providing solutions in the trades of carpentry, plaster, painting, and finishing across the commercial construction industry. Their skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship allow us to provide the highest caliber of commercial construction services available in Iowa.

HRTLND was founded on hardworking Midwestern values in 2002, and since then, we’ve grown to become one of Iowa’s premier finishing subcontractors.
